Marilee Mckenna-Marsal posted this picture in the Elementary TPRS Facebook page of her new rejoinders. She’s been introducing them a few at a time to her elementary classes.
She had this to say about how, in a short time, it’s brought some joy to her class and has empowered students who can’t say much yet to authentically express themselves.
Personally, I love how using these expressions daily allows my students to feel like real Spanish speakers before they really are. It makes class more fun, helps kids feel like they want to come back tomorrow and provides spontaneous opportunity to train kids in what’s right to say when and how – that whole socio-pragmatic purpose of communication.
Thank you, Marilee!
